One of these days I’m going to figure out a way to start these things; today is not that day. Although, today I actually have something to show off. A few days ago my friend Chris told me the Hetch Hetchy Valley Restoration Project was starting a political campaign arm and was looking for a logo. I’m normally not a big fan of contests but given the nature (haha) of the project I wanted to help out if I could. 
I decided to go with a bold look that maintained a National Park kind of feel. I used Bebas font for the logos and title cards but stuck with Times new roman for everything else because people find it comforting and it’s less of a hassle to edit. The background graphic element is a symbolic of the ridge line most often associated with the sunken valley. The browns and green give a parks feel while the blue is a reminder of what needs to change and helps the earth tones “pop”.

Nice work Blake. I like it a lot — especially how the logo can be expanded to serve as text boxes and banners and such.
