Task: This weeks challenge is to produce a collage, of any size, using a series of abstract elements from your chosen city. With the design, you should aim to show the aesthetics of the city as well as depict the feel of your chosen location.
You may use anything and everything from images to textures, or even block colours, to stylistically recreate your chosen city.
In my defense everyone was confused by this one. I am determined to fully complete this weekly endeavor, but this one was close. I could not figure out what to do so I took the easy route and just made a photo collage. I attempted to make it look like you were looking through burnt wood but I honestly am no too happy with how it came out. I guess with a long-term project like this they can’t all be home runs. It’s Mammoth Lakes, CA for those that didn’t get it.
Thanks for looking and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
ah, now I get it. I was super confused by this too. I think it’s because the shadow is on the wood instead of the photos…?
I guess so, maybe I should have made the texture more directional. Too late to stress about it now. That’s the best and worst part of this weekly thing.
